Dilek is an amazing teacher, who is very knowledgeable about the techniques of each Pilates movement and uses cues in a way that brings body anatomy to life. "Dilek was for me the perfect teacher to introduce me to yoga. She was patient, took the time to explain why we were doing exercises and what were the benefits. She was always careful in ensuring that I never got injured explaining that it should never hurt and that we should not go over our limits but rather build gradually while always keeping good form. "I love Dilek’s yoga classes. She is kind, thoughtful, smiling, and gives clear and detailed instructions. She always brings something new to her classes. It can be chairs to help us better understand some asana (quite surprising the first time but very efficient and funny), a book to share with us, a new prop like straps, to name but a few. "For years, I have tried different styles of yoga from various yoga studios, with the hope that I will find a balance between mind and body while challenging my athletic abilities. As someone who is not very athletic or flexible, it was always hard to keep up with the pace of the classes, even though some of them were 'slow flow' or 'restorative'. I often hurt myself while trying to keep up with everyone else but most importantly I was never able to focus on my mental clarity or the meditating part of yoga that everyone was talking about - I was always in my mind, trying to focus on the movement but often felt defeated by my inability to do it the 'right' way, without feeling any connection to my body. 


On the other hand, yoga classes with Dilek have been a life-changing experience for me! Her classes are informative, inspirational, positive, and enjoyable. "As an instructor, Dilek displays her passion for yoga.  She is continually studying and improving her knowledge and she shares this knowledge with her students. She is excellent at describing positions and directing us through them, which is not easy, considering classes have been on Zoom.  Her focus on correct breathing has been beneficial and actually makes some positions easier. I particularly appreciate her approach to positions that affect the lower back, as I have residual lower back issues from an injury, and the yoga helps reduce the pain. Participating in the yoga has also improved my balance and flexibility. Overall, I consider her an excellent instructor."
